What is the difference between gold proof against uncirculated gold coins?

Specifically, I mean eagle coins gold. I realize the price difference can be considerable as an investor, what is the best Invesment? The evidence did not have greater resale value?

The tests have limited circulation and therefore are rarer than the variety of off-road. However, I am a collector, not an investor and believe that my money better spent on rare ancient coins. I'd rather have an eagle with two 1890s, long before I want a 2006 Buffalo gold coin, proof or no proof. I looked dollars money ranging from $ 10 or more at $ 450.00 and more, different dates are better than others. Gold has never done this and have remained there.
