When buying gold bullion, which% above the current rate should you expect to pay?

I want the gold in my power, and unattended in their vault. And I live in the UK if it makes any difference. Cheers for any advice. And there is no difference between different brands? Kruggrands appear to be less costly that the Maple Leafs, for example. Is there a reason?

Maple Leafs set the standard of purity, as 9999 well. As far as I know, in other parts of the investment at best 999.
