Official gold reserves World (December 2008), in tons, as reported by the World Gold Council
Singapore: the world's reserves of gold (or gold holdings) are held by central banks as a store of value.
Gold total world reserves of 29,697.1 tonnes, or more than 29,697,100 kg 954,798,572.48 troy ounces, valued at a total price of gold equal to today's U.S. approximately 753 billion U.S. dollars.
The gold reserves of Singapore, the gold reserves (o) Total 127.4 tons, more than 127,400 kg 4,096,067.90 troy ounces, worth for a total price of gold on today equal to about $ 32 billion U.S. dollars or S $ 48 billion.
As one metric tonne is 1,000 kilograms (32,150 oz or Troy), a ton of gold equivalent to a value of U.S. $ 25 million in January 2009, or Price (U.S. oz $ 861.34/troy).
The global gold reserves, according to the World Gold Council (December 2008) as shown in the breakdown of each country. United States as an independent country, has the largest reserves of gold. But overall the euro area (including the ECB) have the largest gold reserves (10,886.8 tonnes in December 2008).
